AFC Southgate U13 Dragons Lift the 2025/26 Challenge Cup

AFC Southgate are proud to celebrate a fantastic achievement from our U13 Dragons, who were crowned 2025/26 U13 Challenge Cup winners after a brilliant 3–1 victory against Maccabi London White.

The cup final was a superb display of teamwork, determination and character from the boys, who stepped up when it mattered most and delivered a performance they can all be incredibly proud of.

A Brilliant Cup Final Performance

The final was a competitive match, with both teams working hard and pushing right until the end. AFC Southgate’s U13 Dragons showed great resilience throughout the game, staying focused and working together as a team.

With the score finely balanced, Ivan scored a crucial goal to put the Dragons 2–1 ahead with around ten minutes left to play. It was a huge moment in the match and the celebrations showed exactly what it meant to the players, with the team rushing over to celebrate together.

The Dragons then sealed the win when Emre scored a brilliant left-footed finish to make it 3–1 minutes before the final whistle.

Every goal mattered, but this was very much a full team performance. From the players on the pitch to the support around them, the Dragons showed the attitude and togetherness needed to win a cup final.

A special thank you also goes to Coach Dean, whose hard work and guidance helped lead the team to a very well-deserved piece of silverware.
