Update 8/06/20
AFC SOUTHGATE TO BEGIN SOCIALLY DISTANCED TRAINING FOR TEAMS ONLY
Dear parent/carer,
After a good response to our email last week we have decided to begin socially distanced training from this Wednesday 10th June. The sessions will run weekly until further notice from:
Firs Farm Wetlands Park & Playing Fields, Firs Lane, Winchmore Hill, N21 2PJ (We will drop pin exact location on whatsapp also)
The session timetable is as follows:
Wednesdays 6-7pm: U15 + U16 teams
Thursdays 6-7pm: U10 + U11 teams
Fridays 6-7pm: U12
Saturdays 9-10am: All U7, U8 & U9 teams
All sessions will be run by club head coach Vinny with assistant coaches where required. We would kindly ask that if any parents are available to attend to please do so as it is a requirement for us to have at least one parent present per session.
THE SESSIONS
Sessions will be planned thoroughly by us whereby children will remain 2m apart at all times. The most realistic way to achieve this is via own ball skills/technical development and individual running. We will also aim to incorporate some passing and shooting as this can be done at distance.
IMPORTANT!
It is at the clubs’ discretion to ban a player from these sessions if they fail to follow the rules regarding social distancing
All AFC Southgate equipment used will be disinfected before and after each session
When players individually arrive they will immediately be sent to their own ‘playing zone’ where they can leave their water, inhaler, anything they individually require, etc
We will provide a ball per player but players are permitted to bring their own ball that ONLY THEY can use during a session if they wish
Please can players attempt to wear their AFC Southgate training kit
Please wash/sanitise hands before and after session
If you have any questions at all prior to these sessions please do let us know and we look forward to seeing you all very soon! With what may be a different format of training we hope it will give the players the chance to get back out there and see their team mates in preparation for the new season!
Regards,
AFC Southgate
